The Role of Technology Transfer Offices in Standardisation
Katrin Fladischer, who holds a PhD in physics and a Master's in adult education, has a strong background in both industry and academia, with roles including PostDoc and senior scientist. Currently she is working as a technology transfer manager at the University of Graz in Austria. The question - "How can knowledge be effectively and sustainably disseminated?" -has a central aspect in her professional life. Raising awareness and providing education are crucial, particularly in the context of knowledge valorization, exploitation and standardization.
Furthermore, Katrin Fladischer participates in the standardisation initiative of ASTP, the European association of knowledge transfer professionals, with the goal of empowering transfer professionals to get impact from research through standardization.

Wednesday, 17 September: 09.00 to 13.00: Workshop "The Role of Technology Transfer Offices in Standardisation"
In response to the European Commission recommendations “To make Technology Transfer Offices fit for standardisation”, this workshop will focus on the following topics:
- exploration of the recommendations in the Code of Practice on Standardisation in the European Research Area for Technology Transfer Offices
- identification of key strategic actions for Technology Transfer Offices
- collaborative development of a first initial draft for a university-tailored standardisation policy.
This workshop will adopt an inclusive and interactive approach, encouraging active participation from all attendees in formulating a first draft standardisation policy.
